Design Information Request Development

To minimize utility relocates, OCC worked with the Washington boards to create a Design Information Request that provides requesters – often engineers and planners – with a list of utilities in the proposed area rather than notifying utility operators.

Voluntary Positive Response System Launch

The Washington boards and OCC collaborated to launch the voluntary positive response system, allowing facility operators to provide marking status through the one call center. With multiple utilities on each ticket, this provides a single streamlined location for excavators to check statuses.

Delayed Start Time Feature Implementation

In an effort to spread out the impact of calls, the Washington boards and OCC worked together to create a “Delayed Start Time” option in ITICnxt® that has resulted in better scheduling for locators and fresher marks for excavators.
